Construction Carpenter

Position Summary: 
We are seeking a skilled Construction Carpenter/Apprentice to provide support on job sites in the Los Angeles area. In this role, you will apply your skills, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, in order to provide quality service and safety for our clients. We specialize in work on financial institutions so our ideal candidate will have experience in bank construction. Applicants should be Journeyman Carpenters/Apprentices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
  • Help prepare project layouts, estimating necessary proportions and material requirements
  • Select materials
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
  • Construct building framework
  • Communicate with all levels of business contacts
  • Put up, level, and install building framework with the aid of large pulleys and cranes
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
  • Maintain communication with superintendent regarding schedule, scope changes, material, and labor management
  • Check work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications
  • Provide leadership for site laborers and helpers
  • Maintain safe working conditions for yourself and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • 3+ years of carpentry experience
  • Experience in commercial construction, specifically work on financial institutions
  • Knowledge of various hand and power tools
  • Proficient, working knowledge of local building codes and construction safety requirements
  • Must have a valid, current Driver's License
  • Ability to stay organized while multi-tasking
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary in order to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Must return satisfactory background investigation
