Position Summary:
The Director of Learning & Development is a strategic leader responsible for the overall success and effectiveness of all US-based training initiatives for Cennox. This role will provide a clear vision and direction for the training department, ensuring that employees across the organization have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and contribute to achieving company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy and roadmap aligned with the organization’s overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify current and future training requirements across all participating US departments.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) to streamline training delivery and track progress.
  • Develop and manage the training department budget as required.
  • Build and lead a high-performing training team, including hiring and development of team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality training materials, including instructor-led training modules, eLearning courses, and technical documentation.
  • Design and implement engaging and effective learning paths to support continuous employee growth and skill development.
  • Deliver impactful instructor-led training sessions for various products and services.
  • Manage external vendor relationships for training programs as needed.
  • Develop and implement a robust system for measuring the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Analyze training data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Track and report on key training metrics for leadership.
  • Ensure training programs comply with all relevant HR policies and regulations.
  • Manage the administrative aspects of the training department, including scheduling, logistics, and budget.
  • Required to perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Training & Development, or a related field, preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a training and development leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs across various disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of ATM’s and/or Smart Safes
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Experience teaching High School or Adult Education
  • Experience with video editing a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to meet the visual demands of the job
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for keyboarding and computer use
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain focus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
