CAD Drafter / Digital Designer
We are looking for a skilled Photoshop Digital Designer / CAD Drafter to join our design team at Cennox. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually captivating digital designs using Photoshop and generating accurate design models and technical drawings using CAD software. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a strong proficiency in Photoshop and CAD applications.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Photoshop software to create and enhance digital design assets, including graphics, illustrations, and other visual elements.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine design concepts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project requirements.
- Create 2D and 3D design models, renderings, and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Convert hand-drawn sketches or conceptual ideas into digital designs and prototypes.
- Apply design principles, color theory, and typography to create visually appealing and engaging designs.
- Ensure design deliverables meet technical specifications, standards, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to incorporate design feedback and optimize designs for implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and emerging design techniques to continuously improve design skills and knowledge.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working with Photoshop and proficient in creating high-quality digital designs.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) with the ability to create accurate 2D and 3D design models and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and composition.
- Attention to detail and ability to create precise, visually appealing designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing previous digital design work and CAD projects is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and stay focused for long periods of time
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Finger dexterity for keyboarding and computer usage
